A Conveyancer is a property specialist that deals with all legal aspects of the law when buying, selling or re-mortgaging land or properties. A Conveyancer can also be a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or a fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. Their day to day duties consist of taking instructions from their clients, drafting contracts, collating and checking supportive legal documentation, carrying out searches and liaising with mortgage lenders, estate agents and lawyers throughout the chain regarding property issues. Once the examination stage is successfully completed students can apply for a license, and after a further period of three years can apply for a full license which allows them to offer conveyancing services directly to members of the public and practise on their own or in a partnership.
