Conveyancer

Licensed Conveyancer; is a specialist legal professional, they are trained to deal with all aspects of property law.

Their job will include taking instructions from a client to deal with the sale of a property or land, they will also carry out searches with the local authorities in relation to the property. They will also advise client about stamp duty and land tax and also legal expenses.

They will draft contracts relating to the terms of the sale of the property. They will also liaise with the mortgage lenders or banks to ensure they have all the information required.

They will also ensure that costs are paid for stamp duty or estate agent fees. Their role is very similar to that of a  property solicitor dealing with a property transaction, however rather than being qualified as a solicitor, they will have completed all of the exams and training provided by the council of Licensed Conveyancers.
